Meet The Team


Everyone at IBC has extensive ‘inside knowledge’ and practical experience, acquired over many years spent working in commercial banks at all levels – as front line lenders, credit managers, recoveries managers, and in leadership roles. This means we understand how banks work and how they think; we know the right people and we speak their language, making us a valuable resource for business borrowers.

There are three separate parts to our business:

  1. Arranging finance – as intermediaries, we arrange everything from working capital, commercial mortgages and property loans, through to import/export and specialist types of finance
  2. Helping existing borrowers to retain the required level of facilities, on the right terms
  3. Supporting borrowers who are experiencing difficulties with their lender

We have been trading since April 2000 and are proudly independent – no conflicts of interest or divided loyalties. We are also authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for the provision of credit related services, including debt adjusting and debt counselling.

Our People


Russell Snowdon, MD

Before starting IBC in 2000, I spent 20 years with Barclays in various lending roles, including as a ‘Credit Manager’ and in the bank’s ‘Care and Recovery’ team, which means I understand business lending and also the way that banks deal with their customers. When not working I like playing and watching football, playing golf and the odd spot of gardening.

 


Ken Barber, Client Director

I spent 37 years with Lloyds, in various departments including lending management, business development and the turnaround team. I joined IBC in 2007, where I gained a new perspective on the market and I find it rewarding to support a wide range of businessess. I am also a member of my local church and an active community volunteer.

Following a 36-year career in banking with Barclays and Clydesdale, primarily in corporate banking I joined IBC in 2012. I am primarily involved with putting together finance proposals to present to lenders and provide banking guidance and support to clients. I am also a Director of a small London based Housing Association that provides accommodation and support to homeless young people.

 


bev-lawBeverly Law, Office Manager

I worked for Barclays for 17 years, including time in the corporate sector supporting Relationship Managers to look after their customers. I joined IBC in 2002 to assist the team to look after our clients, liaise with our introducers and lenders and run the office. In my spare time, unlike the rest of the IBC team, I love watching rugby and am a season ticket holder at the Bedford Blues. I am also trying (slowly) to master golf!

 


jon-burgonJon Burgon, Director, IBC Franchising

I helped set up IBC after leaving Barclays as a Corporate Relationship Manager in 2000, having been a lending manger for over 13 years of a 23-year career. I semi-retired in 2012 and now look to help recruit bankers onto our franchisee panel. Living in Spain, I can only follow Chelsea F.C. on the TV these days and I enjoy playing badminton and walking football.

I worked in various management roles for several High Street banks for 31 years, including the ‘Credit’ department where I earned a reputation for having a constructive approach and getting deals done. I joined IBC, opening the first franchise office in Worcestershire in 2011. By following the established model my business has gone from strength to strength and I now own two areas, the second covering the Midlands, west of Birmingham.

 


john-kJohn K. Agama, Franchise Owner

My banking career started on Standard Chartered’s Graduate Induction Programme. On completion, I spent 4 years working in Ghana, building relationships with major Bilateral, Multilateral and NGO donor institutions and then joined HSBC in 2000 as a Relationship Manager. I joined IBC in October 2015 opening a franchise office in Surrey. I support Arsenal, enjoy gardening, travelling and learning about other cultures.
